The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for: 

  •  Leading a team of developers and overseeing project development from conception to deployment.
  •  Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software applications using C#, Angular, and other relevant technologies.
  •  Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, and providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the development process.
  •  Managing the overall project timeline, resource allocation, and ensuring timely delivery of software solutions.
  •  Conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  •  Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, both independently and in collaboration with the team.
  •  Staying updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, and actively sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
  •  Mentoring and coaching junior developers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.

Responsbilities

  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  •  Proven experience as a Senior Developer, leading projects and teams in a fast-paced software development environment.
  •  Strong proficiency in C# and Angular, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  •  Extensive experience in developing web applications using frameworks like ASP.NET, Angular, or similar technologies.
  •  Solid knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure, with experience in deploying and maintaining applications in AWS.
  •  Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and proficiency in writing optimised SQL queries.
  •  Experience with Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  •  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  •  Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and influence others positively.
  •  Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  •  A strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Nice to haves

  • AWS certifications, demonstrating expertise in specific AWS services.
  • Experience with other front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  •  Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch & NEST
  • Experience with Machine Learning, especially NLP / NER
  • Exposure to Google Analytics or other analytics platforms.
