System Operations Developer

Remote, UK Based

The Job

Working as part of the Development team, the Systems Operations Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal tools and processes that power all of Adimo’s client-facing and internal technology. You will work closely with all areas of our business from Development to Production; giving you maximum exposure to all areas of Adimo. You will have worked with Amazon Web Services and can talk in-depth about applications you have developed that solve complex problems. You will have experience in managing a team including experience in mentoring more junior members of the team. You will be responsible for planning, scoping and developing projects of all sizes to solve complex problems at scale. You will be used to producing work to deadlines and aid our teams in producing software that allows your fellow employees to work more efficiently and effectively.

  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, senior management and clients
  • To provide technical support, including development tools, training and documentation of software and scripts to assist the development, production and customer success teams
  • Manage own workload to ensure software and updates are delivered on time, on budget and to our required standards
  • To work in conjunction with other developers within the team to deliver projects on time and to specification

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (such as: VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS)
  • Working knowledge of Elastic Search
  • Educated to degree level within relevant course including; Computer Science/Software Engineering
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
  • Extensive experience in software development, scripting and project management
  • Experience with C# / .NET Core & .NET Framework 4.x
  • Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog) and automated testing frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Having worked within a commercial environment, delivering multiple projects
  • Experience with OOP and design patterns
  • Knowledge of databases, preferably MySQL
  • Proactive and self-motivated to seek solutions, create ideas and develop

What would sweeten the deal?

  • HTML5, CSS3. JavaScript, Angular / AngularJS
  • Experience with NEST
  • Experience with Node JS
  • Experience with Machine Learning, especially NLP / NER
  • Familiarity with Github Actions or similar CI/CD applications
  • Experience within a Digital agency or similar Martech business
  • Technical experience implementing Google Analytics or other analytics platforms such as Mixpanel or Power BI.
